About Course

The GAMS First Responder (GFR) program is firmly rooted in the principles of the US Army Ranger First Responder course, centered around the Tactical Combat Casualty Care All Service Members (TCCC-ASM) curriculum. This exceptional training program is meticulously designed to equip military personnel, law enforcement officers, and first responders with the vital knowledge and skills derived from the standardized TCCC-ASM curriculum, which is renowned for its effectiveness in combat and emergency medical situations.

Developed under the auspices of the esteemed Joint Trauma System, an entity operating within the Defense Health Agency, the GAMS First Responder course ensures that participants are not only well-acquainted with TCCC concepts but are also equipped with fundamental life-saving techniques. Its primary objective is to prepare individuals to act swiftly and efficiently when providing medical assistance to trauma casualties in high-pressure situations.

The comprehensive GAMS First Responder course extends over 16 intense yet highly rewarding hours. During this time, participants engage in interactive sessions and practical exercises that provide them with invaluable insights into hemorrhage control techniques, enabling them to effectively address critical bleeding. Moreover, the course places a significant emphasis on the identification and management of more severe injuries, ensuring that first responders possess the necessary skills to handle such situations competently.

By attending the GAMS First Responder program, members acquire a broad range of critical skills that are indispensable in emergency scenarios. This training instills confidence in participants, empowering them to act decisively when confronted with traumatic incidents. Ultimately, GAMS First Responder plays a pivotal role in fortifying the capabilities of our military personnel, law enforcement officers, and first responders, ensuring that they are well-prepared to save lives in the most challenging and high-pressure situations.
